Gabriel has a multidisciplinary background in landscape architecture, civil engineering, horticulture, construction, and geotechnics. Originally from Brazil, his relationship with landscapes began through plants, farms, and daily contact with the land. Growing up in a coastal city also shaped his lasting connection to water, both personally and professionally, and continues to influence his interest in waterfront resilience, ecological restoration, and climate responsive design.
Gabriel brings over seven years of experience in landscape architecture, planting design, horticulture, field coordination, and construction support, along with technical experience in civil engineering and geotechnics dating back to 2015. His work focuses on the relationship between design intent and built reality, with particular interest in grading, drainage, planting design, resilient infrastructure, and long term landscape stewardship.
He earned his Master of Landscape Architecture from the Boston Architectural College in 2025 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil. His award winning thesis explored regenerative design, ecological restoration, and peacebuilding in Somalia’s drylands, reflecting his belief that landscapes can support environmental care, community resilience, and long term stewardship.
Outside of the office, Gabriel enjoys hiking, exploring waterfronts, documenting plants, gardening, and spending time close to the water.
