An expansion to the music building creates a new face to this important campus building and allows the building to address a quadrangle space that was otherwise underutilized. Sited on top of a hill, the performance space has an expansive view of an informal quadrangle space that has a wetland, stream, rain garden, and plaza. The hill is vegetated with native tall grasses and is punctuated with drifts of shrubs and perennials. A series of terraces encourages students and staff to enjoy the outdoors individually or in small groups.
