Newbury Street is one of Boston's most heavily trafficked commercial streets.  A mix of retail, housing and restaurants make this a favorite destination for residents and tourists.  Sidewalk space is at a premium with many uses vying for the same space.  A local developer contracted with KZLA to design two parklets that would be open to the public, but provided greatly needed open space along this corridor.  KZLA designed a refined parklet system with corten steel, wood and galvanized steel that provided flexible seating for individuals or groups.
